Congratulations to 5th grade student, Aaliyah Williams! She won 3rd place in a writing contest sponsored by The River City Woman’s Club. All Decatur City elementary schools participated, and about 200 entries were submitted. Students were asked to pay tribute to a favorite hometown hero in an essay form of 200 words. Way to go, Aaliyah!
