Can I tell you something? We have some of the most amazing kids in the world at BCES! We also have some of the most dedicated, talented, spectacular teachers and staff who call Banks-Caddell home. We have really high expectations for our kids, and we expect them to come to school each day and give maximum effort to achieve at high levels. We expect them to come to school "Ready To Learn," or "R.T.L." In order to do this, I expect them to respect themselves, respect others, and focus on making every day a good day with a mindset focused on learning, being a good friend to others, and giving their best.
For our kids to achieve the goals we have set, it takes everyone working together. Parents, grandparents, other family members, teachers, support staff, and students--it takes all of us. If you are a parent or family member of a student who attends BCES, I encourage and challenge you to read with your kid every single day. Check their backpacks every single day, and make sure they are doing their homework when they have it. Help them when and if they need it. Ask your kid(s) every day about their day, and follow up by talking with your child's teacher to be sure that we are all on the same page. The little things matter SO MUCH! We want all of our students to be successful, and in order for that to happen, it takes ALL of us working together. I want every kid at BCES to be challenged and held to high standards, because they have the potential to do great things. We have to continue to encourage them, hold them accountable, and raise the bar. We're all in this together.....let's go!
Our Bulldog Creed: "I am a bulldog! I will do my best everyday and treat others with respect."
